The oracle does not mean naivety. Innocence is disciplined freedom from hidden agendas. When conditions are wrong, even sincere effort can fail; the important test is whether action follows the situation instead of trying to make the situation serve a private story.

Line 3
Innocent action may meet misfortune through an unexpected event. Sincerity does not make a person immune to circumstance. Avoid blaming yourself for every disruption, but review whether your exposure, timing, or safeguards were adequate.
Line 4
If you can remain innocent, you are free of fault. When the situation cannot be controlled, preserve clean conduct rather than improvising a scheme. Refusing to manipulate is itself an active form of protection.
